a mAdamAdika di-syana

A Maadamaadika Di-Syana was a book written by Alin Sasaani in 1899, setting out the basic rules of mathematics. Until this book was produced the Syan people had little knowledge of anything mathematics related, outside of numbers and counting. This book also standardized the names of numbers over 100 and formalized the use of Arabic numerals in the Syan language. The book was given free to all schoolchildren up until the education reform of 1967. Below are some of the most important passages from the book.
