Island Flags
The 5 islands of Syana each have their own flag and cultural identity. Many Syan citizens feel a sense of pride in which island they come from, and until 1987 each capital city was situated on the island that the family of the Jaar originated from.

National Flags
There have been three flags used by Syana over it's history, the most recent flag being a tribute to the original meaning and symbolism of the first Syan flag.
The red represents the blood shed in the fight for freedom, the black honours and remembers the dark past of Syana, and the blue is symbolic of the ocean that surrounds the Syan islands.
The golden python is a tribute to the namesake of Syana. With the original name of the nation being Omaani Di-syanisa (land of the python).
